*HEALTH & SAFETY*
Be very wary of the tongs when working around your model's face- practice coordination and rolling so that your model is in safe hands and doesn't encounter any burns. Same applies to the tools you are using, for example your brushes; do not be too aggressive with the hair, be aware of poking your model's eye out with your pin tail comb.

Begin by prepping the hair with heat protector, follow instructions from previous post to create a voluminous blow dry. From there you will need your hair grips, hair spray and curling barrel to create a roll of barrel curls through the middle section of the head. Section the hair and so that the middle section is in a row of curls, and then on each side of the head, the hair can be barrel curled also. Let the hair sit for a reasonable amount of time- though it doesn't need very long and an optional step, would be to add dry shampoo to the stem of your barrel curls, to create texture and volume that is more flexible than hairspray. Begin to release each of your curls and take your paddle brush and brush the hair gentle so that the curls come together and add some flare. Now take the two side sections and we will begin to create the 60's style. Have your hair grips at the ready and start to structure the hair into a half up-down style and bring the two strands together and secure with grips.
Critical Analysis
Overall I wasn't really pleased with this hairstyle, I feel that again, although the height and overall technique was great, my final product was messy. The front of my style was voluminous and was definitely very 60's/70's but where I should have used possibly a frizz serum, it would have made the back sections come together better and not look so messy. It definitely doesn't help if the doll head you are working on has very scraggy and wispy hair but serums and styling products should have been used to create a more defined and put together style- especially in the back section of the hair.
